In Cognitive Therapy work, I help clients identify and change negative thoughts and beliefs that contribute to their problems and stress. Together we explore these thoughts and find new, more adaptive ways of thinking.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

One of the few forms of psychotherapy that has been found to be effective in hundreds of clinical trials for a wide variety of disorders. CPT, unlike other forms of psychotherapy, is more structured, focusing not on past traumas but on current problems and solutions. It is a combination of cognitive therapy and behavioral therapy. In CPT, I help clients not only to sort out their thinking, but also to change their behavior in order to achieve their goals.

Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT)

This is an approach in couples, family and individual therapy developed by Sue Johnson and Leslie Greenberg. It is based on the findings of attachment theory and aims to re-establish bonds between partners and other family members. It is a form of therapy that helps couples improve communication, strengthen emotional bonds and resolve conflicts.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

One of the psychotherapeutic approaches based on the model of cognitive behavioral therapy. The main difference between ACT and other approaches is that the focus of work with the client is not on combating symptoms, but on creating a life that is in line with the person's values. The goal of Acceptance and Responsibility Therapy is to develop psychological flexibility: the ability to stay in touch with oneself in order to continue to do what is important, despite challenging situations in life.

Schema Therapy

This is a well-structured, highly effective and dynamic method of psychotherapy. It was developed by the American psychotherapist Jeffrey Young. It is used to work with clients who have persistent negative patterns of thinking and behaviour that prevent them from living a full and happy life. With this type of therapy, we identify and change these negative patterns so that the client can achieve their goals and live a more satisfying life.

Mindfulness (mindfulness practices)

It is a form of meditation that helps clients live in the present moment without judicial evaluation or attachment to the past or future. Through mindfulness practices, we learn to be attentive to our thoughts, feelings, and bodily sensations.

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)

It is a form of CBT designed specifically to treat patients with emotional regulation problems such as personality disorders, suicidal tendencies, and self-harming behavior. DBT also teaches patients to manage stress, improve their ability to resolve conflict, and develop tolerance for unpleasant emotions

About me

I am a psychotherapist who practices primarily from a cognitive behavioral (CBT) framework as well as schema therapy (ST).

I hold a Master’s degree in psychology from the Odessa National University I.I. Mechnikova and a 2 year CBT training certificate “Bases of the cognitive-behavioural approach in psychotherapy” at the Belarus State

Pedagogical University of M.Tanka. Additionally, In 2021 I was honored to obtain a CEEFT certificate Advanced Course with Dr. Sue Johnson from the International Center of Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy. In the UK, I have worked in the NHS and through my private practice. I am a member of the BABCP (British Association of Behavioural & Cognitive Psychotherapists).

I offer a safe and non-judgmental space where we can explore how your past experiences define your present self and possibilities for better change. I believe my purpose with psychology is to help people and make their lives happier.

Prior to training as a therapist, I had a career in banking spanning 15 years. I’ve been active in sports since my 20s, cycling, tennis, diving, surfing and paragliding. My most important rule for life is to never give up. I’m originally from Odessa, Ukraine and can provide services in Russian, Ukrainian and English.

My true purpose is to help people and make their lives happier.

Hi Natalia, I kept doing those behavioral experiments you prescribed and was surprised to find out that I'm not afraid anymore!!! I didn't realize when it happened. I just went to the kitchen and started chatting with all the staff, it was fun and I even forgot that my French is far from perfect:))). It's a cool feeling

I had a difficult relationship with my mother-in-law, and when I found out that she was planning to visit us I started looking for a psychologist. I met Natalia when she was in the States, and when she left we continued to meet online. She helped me not to understand myself, taught me to observe what I feel and why, then it turned out that it was not even my mother-in-law, but a coincidence of circumstances at the time.
